Find sanctuary for your soul at High Pastures, a Christian retreat center nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina. A place for individuals, couples, families, and groups, free of electronic distractions, open year round. Accommodations for groups ranging from 1 to 160 persons are available.
Though the focus is a place to meet with God, activities may include hiking, nature study, volleyball, horseshoes, cornhole, ladderball, badminton, and cookouts or campfires near the Prayer Tower. Tasty meals are served to groups of 20 or more. Cooking facilities are provided for smaller groups in some of our buildings.
In 1958, Elizabeth Motsinger, seeking a hideaway in which to seek God found this place. She had been struggling for years to know if God actually exists, and, if so, whether He could be known. As it emerged, God established it as a place where “His sheep” could be fed, find refuge and refreshing, be equipped and strengthened for service, and anointed for ministry.
