About Log Cabin
A refreshing taste of a simpler time.
This storybook log cabin just makes you want to break out the fiddles and banjos and kick back with a glass of sweet tea on either of the front or back porch. Tucked away like a fairytale, this historic cabin has been restored and prepared for some true mountain relaxation. With 2 comfortable bedrooms, a kitchen, bathroom and fireplace, the Log Cabin beckons the weary spiritual traveler with the embrace of old-timey simplicity. Accommodating up to 6 people, this spot is a rustic gem.
The Log Cabin was acquired by the founder in the 1960s from the Crane family, just after the completion of the Red Barn. Restored piece by piece, the Log Cabin came to resemble its 100-year-old original charm. From the cabin, you may look up the mountain at the Dining Hall, Carolina Hemlock and Singing Waters Dorm. A wooded trail leads from the Log Cabin to Laurel Lodge.
